While in School in San Diego Jason began working for the school as a fabrication lab instructor, overseeing and teaching students how to use different fabrication equipment, both digital and analog.  This involvement with the school coupled with his Thesis Year instructor, James Enos, led to a participatory roll in “The Periscope Project”,  a non-profit artist collective  focusing on alternative development strategies based in the (now thriving) “East Village” of San Diego.  The organization would host and collaborate on different development issues both in the city and at large.  As a participant in The Periscope Project Jason spend time curating and creating art for the organization alongside his peers.  Eventually Jason found his way back to Reno and took a position at TMCC instructing until finding his way to CATHEXES.
